Why can I only renew for one year when I transfer?

At the time of a transfer, any domain can only be renewed for 1 year. This is the domain registrar policy. However, after the transfer has completed you can renew your domain more than 1 year.

gTLD Domain (.com/ .net/ .info/ .org/ .biz) renewal period:-

  • 1 year, 2 years, and 5 years

Singapore country domain (.sg/ .com.sg/ .per.sg/ .edu.sg/ .org.sg/ .net.sg) renewal period:-

  • 1 year and 2 years
